It was Cinco de Mayo, so of course Mexican food and a margarita were clearly in order. They are usually closed on Wednesdays, but they opened for the holiday and a crowd had gathered outside for the opening at 4:30. Mask wearing and reduced capacity for Covid. They were extremely busy, but in good spirits and very pleasant to deal with. The food was simply some of the best Mexican food we have had - and coming from California we have eaten at plenty of places. The carnitas . The flautas . The cheese enchiladas . The tacos and burritos . The strawberry and mango margaritas . Would highly recommend! It was so good we kept forgetting to take photos!

This place is a gem! Really great portion sizes and yummy food! I love the habanero sauce! It’s also nice of them to provide the free serving of chips and salsa for the table instead of charging for it. It feels like a classic Mexican restaurant because of that instead of the ones that charge! Steven was our server and he was so nice and provided excellent service!

Excellent food and service! The Campeon burrito is delicious and huge. Big enough to feed 2 people. Ask for the habanero salsa for that extra kick! It’s amazing! I’ll be back soon!

I live in Kaua’i but was visiting Oahu for a little bit, I’m also Hispanic and that being said it is hard to find good Mexican food on the islands. Most places don’t serve complimentary chips and salsa anymore, or serve rice and beans with their dinner plates. This place accommodated all those things! The rice and beans with the carne asada tacos were a good portion size. The horchata was decent, I’m picky about horchata and usually just make it myself but this one was well. Nothing special to rave about but it curved the craving. I would eat here again. It wasn’t busy and the service was good.

Honestly not sure why this place is only 4 stars.. it deserves 5 stars for me! We ordered the Flautas, burrito, & kids taco. The carne from the burrito is so flavorful and goes well with the nice roasted flavor of the sauce. My Flauta was on point in every aspect. It was so cheesy with a really good crunchy outside & was paired greatly with the Spanish rice & frijoles. Their salsa & chips were just a little spicy but not too much, which is perfect for those who don't like spice or can't handle from having heartburn or acid reflux. Our service was sweet & very tending to our table. Definitely worth your money! Thank you for this awesome restaurant! Keep doing you & don't ever change
